Production: Draft of TV Listings

I have been making my TV listings on inDesign but decided to make a draft of what I want my double page spread to look like on KeyNote on Mac. It is a simple piece of software to use and allowed me to move around different text boxes and images.

The key conventions I wanted to incorporate into my TV listings are as follows:

  1. TV Choice/ TV listings logo used in different places across the DPS
  2. Channel 4 logo
  3. Channel 4 text style to show the title, time and web address
  4. Coloured band running down the side of the page - key convention
  5. One main image reflecting the genre of the documentary 
  6. Images/screenshots from the documentary to show some of the content which would be shown - encouraging audiences to watch the show
  7. Social media logos to promote engagement



























I decided to analyse my draft by incorporating the conventions of TV listings magazines:


I had a look at some other TV listings such as the one below and got the idea of the logo and the purple band running down the side of the page from this.
